Another New Path has been created at High Camer Wood.
The existing path leading from the car parking area and picnic tables at NX366732, around 1.5 miles north west of the Wood of Cree car park, was a linear path through the Oak / Birch woodland which only ran for about half a mile.
The new 750m extension to this path now links the old path to the forest track, and with return via the minor road, forms a circular path of around 1.5 miles.
The route takes in woodland, scrub and open clearfell and passes a small pond (still to be dredged) and has a lovely viewpoint part of the way around.
Some of the clearfell areas will be brought back into native woodland to further enhance this route.
