Dry Stane Dyking Training Day
Some of our volunteers, Hugh McKnight, Tops Vickers, Alex Dinsmore and Angus McGibney took part in a dry stane dyking training day at Cally Woods, Gatehouse of Fleet.
As part of the Tesco Bags of Help Cally Woods and Deer Park project, aimed at restoring sections of the Cally and Deer Park walls.
Volunteers had the opportunity to take part the day, learning how these walls are built.
The training days are led by a qualified dry stane dyker.
The Cally boundary walls were built 200 years ago and these training days are helping to restore sections of wall for years to come.
