Flock of 130 jackdaw over Kirkmabreck quarry today. Also 30 crows feeding on shore at high tide.
Cree Valley Community Woodlands Trust (CVCWT) together with Galloway Strollers recently held a guided walk around Low Camer wood as an official launch of the new path constructed by the Trust.
The event was attended by NHS staff, Galloway Strollers walk leaders and staff and members of the Newton Stewart Activity and Resource Centre.
CVCWT have been working with the Galloway Strollers to ensure that the network of paths which they are creating in their HLF funded Cree Valley Woodland Heritage project, contain suitable and manageable walks for the Strollers.
The Wigtownshire Galloway Strollers walking groups are co-ordinated by the Health Improvement team based at the Galloway Community Hospital.
They are keen to encourage walking as a form of healthy exercise and enjoyment and are always looking for new walkers.
