These cuttings usually take root very well and will grow into small, shrubby willows with silvery, downy underneaths to their leaves.
Volunteer Day – Tree Nursery
Busy day at nursery on a cold, wet and blustery day yesterday, taking downy willow cuttings and planting them in root trainers.
Only another 5000 to do! we were all grateful for the shelter of the polythene.
Ruaridh made good use of the root-trainer-soil-tamper constructed by Alex.
